August 2015, Australasia Scales supplied a fully portable, battery operated, three piece container weighing system if the form of two approved for trade platform scales (0.6m x 2.8m each) and a compact instrument case control unit housing an two CAS R323 stainless panel mount indicators (one for each platform) and a CAS R423 summing indicator fitted with a programmable LUA module for overall weight of both platforms and customised data capture assigning container ID’s to weights for record keeping.
Operators then needed to see weights without leaving the container reach stacker. Rather than the traditional ‘line of sight’ approach of a large external remote display that may be hard to read with the forward carry container load, Australasia Scales supplied a ZigBee® wireless communication link between the instrument case control unit and a dash-mounted CAS D320 in cab remote display – Tested onsite with a confirmed range in excess on 100m.
