The semi-pit weighbridge design best suited the site conditions having limited access to both ends of the weighbridge. An above ground weighbridge would have required longer access ramps and would have increased the weighbridge site footprint. The weighing deck of a semi-pit weighbridge is at ground level and provides easier truck access both on and off the Weighbridge.
The 60t x 20kg capacity fully hot dipped galvanised steel concrete infill weighbridge was fitted with 6 heavy duty FLINTEC canister type load cells, a robust stainless steel housed R420 indicator connected to an external Rinstrum D740 remote display for easy viewing of weights by drivers.
